Dukeminier Tabbed Third-Team Academic All-America

TOWSON, Md. -- University of Oregon golfer Jack Dukeminier has been named to the 2010 ESPN The Magazine All-America Men's At-Large third team it was announced Monday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
A junior from Eugene, Dukeminier currently carries a 4.04 cumulative grade point average as an Economics major. Previously named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District first team, Dukeminier was the recipient of the 2010 NCAA Elite 88 award for men's golf at the NCAA Championships in Chattanooga, Tenn. last week. The Elite 88 award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's 88 championships.
Dukeminier, a two-time Pac-10 All-Academic first-team selection, enjoyed his best season on the links in 2009-10 with a career-low scoring average of 72.55. He placed tied for 34th in the 156-man field at the NCAA Championships, tying the competitive course record at The Honors Course with a final round of 66 (6-under par) to lead the Ducks into match play. In match play, he went 2-0, helping Oregon to a school-best tie for third at the national tournament.
One of three juniors on the squad, Dukeminier heads a roster for next year that had no seniors this past season.
