Registration Now Open For Baseball Summer Camps

EUGENE – Registration is now open for the 2011 Oregon baseball summer camps.
The Ducks will host four camps this summer, including satellite camps in Medford and Portland.
Youth Camp
Oregon’s first camp runs from Tuesday-Friday, July 12-15 at PK Park for players who will be enrolled in grades 2-8 for the 2011-12 school year.
The Youth Camp will run from 9 a.m. – 3p.m. for the full-day option, with camp ending at 1 p.m., Friday, July 15. Overnight campers are also welcome for the youth camp.

Medford Satellite Camp
The Ducks will then host one of two satellite camps in Medford, Tuesday-Wednesday, July 19-20 at US Cellular Community Park.
The camp is for players who will be enrolled in grades 2-8 in the 2011-2012 school year, and will run from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on both days.

Portland Satellite Camp
Oregon will then hold its second satellite camp in Portland on Friday-Saturday, July 22-23 at Wilsonville High School.
Players who will be enrolled in grades 2-8 during the 2011-2012 school year can register, and camp will run from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. both days.

Prospect Camp
Oregon’s final camp will be its high school prospect camp held from Wednesday-Saturday, July 27-30 at PK Park in Eugene, Ore.
Players in grades 9-12 for the 2011-2012 school year are eligible to register and an overnight option is also available.
This camp will feature a high level of both instruction and competition. The campers will receive instruction in all phases of the game. The position players will receive position-specific instruction including infield, outfield, and catching. The position players will also receive hitting instruction on proper swing mechanics, the mental approach to hitting, base running and bunting.
Pitchers will receive instruction on proper mechanics, delivery, fielding their position, controlling the running game and the mental aspect of pitching. Players will be exposed to the University of Oregon's campus, athletic facilities, and coaches.
