Alex Rovello - Student-Athlete of the Week
Sophmore Alex Rovello helped lead the UO Men's Tennis team to a 4-3 victory against No. 62 UC Santa Barbara.
Rovello paired up with Jose Izquierdo to defeat Alex Bouillin and Greg Scott 8-4 which clinched the doubles point for the Ducks.
Rovello dominated his singles match vs. Benjamin Recknagel defeating him handily 6-0 and 6-1 at the #1 singles position.
Rovello is looking to build off of a strong fall season where he had a record of 7-3 and made the quarterfinals of the 2011 Northwest ITA Regional Championships.
Look for Rovello and the rest of the Ducks to continue this success in both singles and doubles against Eastern Washington on Feb. 17, 2012.
