Jordan Spencer - Student-Athlete of the Week
Jordan Spencer from Oregon Baseball is our student athlete of the week!! Spencer, the freshman from Beaverton, Ore., threw Oregon’s first no hitter since the programs reinstatement (2009) last Wednesday in Keizer against the Portland Pilots with a 3-0 victory.
Spencer is the fifth Oregon pitcher to toss a complete game in 2012 (third nine innings), and the third to toss a nine-inning shutout. Helping the Ducks claim their No. 10 ranking in Baseball America’s Top 25, and claiming the No. 3 ranking in the Pac-12, Spencer will continue to be an asset to the Ducks.
With a 27-12 record, be sure to look for freshman Jordan Spencer and the rest of the Ducks as they look for a wins against OSU, Tuesday April 24, and Cal this weekend, April 27-29.
