Describe your involvement in Oregon athletics over the years. My dad played football and basketball for Oregon in 1937. As a child we came to ball games as a family. When I chose to attend and play at Oregon I only fulfilled my lifelong dreams. I coached football here in 1974-1975. Coaching football here at the U of O was very rewarding. Our three children grew up at Ducks football games and sporting events, so their path was paved for them to be Ducks too. Two of our sons have played on the football team. Their education and support through the Athletic Department has been unbelievable. I have also been asked to be involved in the Order of the O (Alumni Student-Athletes). I once again was able to represent Oregon and the athletic department.
“Once a Duck, Always a Duck.”
I am a traditionalist, but I respect and enjoy the innovative, ever changing aspects of our uniforms. The different colors and combinations represent the diversity within our university’s culture. We attract student-athletes from around the world and represent many cultures. The uniforms are worn by the young men and women of Oregon who want to pursue their hopes and dreams.
