Vander Weide, Benson Named All-Pac-12

SAN FRANCISCO – Oregon volleyball freshman Lindsey Vander Weide was named to the All-Pac-12 team while Amanda Benson received an honorable mention, the conference announce Tuesday.
Vander Weide led the team in kills/set during conference play, averaging 3.40 kills/set which ranked 10th in the Pac-12. She becomes only the second Oregon freshman to make the all-conference team, joining Michele Krebsbach who earned the honor in her first year during the 1986 season. In addition to the all-conference honor, Vander Weide became the 14th Oregon player to be named to the all-freshman team and marked the third-straight year the Ducks have been represented.
Benson, who was named to the All-Freshman team in 2013, earned honorable mention All-Pac-12 honors for the third-consecutive year. The junior led the team with and ranked second in the conference with 4.65 digs/set.

The Ducks will head to Madison, Wis., for an NCAA Tournament first-round meeting against No. 6 seed Wisconsin, Thursday at 5:30 p.m. PT.
