Women's Basketball vs. California
On the defense...
"I think something consistent throughout all our games is that we have a really great gameplan for defense and I think we had our spurts where we did get those stops. Our big thing tonight was limiting their offensive rebounds. They definitely got theirs in the first half. We just need to keep working on that.."
On the second half adjustments...
"We came out more composed and that was one of the things we talked about this game. Just coming out more composed and patient and I think we did a better job with that in the second half."
On scoring...
"I think in these games, scoring has been a little here and there with people. Tonight we can be a little hurt about this game, but tomorrow we just pick each other up. We all know we can score. We all know we can shoot and it is just playing for that other person."
On Jillian Alleyne...
"She has been getting double-doubles for a long time. She works her butt off. I know there are a lot of us working hard right alongside her. We all need to step up and win for that girl. For all of us."
On the Stanford game...
"It is never easy to digest a possible last home game with some of your friends and long time teammates. But, I think with the basketball mentality of this 'could be it', we are going to come fighting, we are going to bring the fight, for sure. We are going to do it for our seniors."

On Alleyne’s performance…
“I have to give Jill a lot of credit. Jill was phenomenal. She is getting so much better, competing, developing skill wise and I am really proud of her effort.”
“I think she has a bright future. She continues to improve and one thing she has added to her game, she didn’t show it tonight, but that little mid range game. She can hit that shot and she becomes un-guardable.”
On the team…
“We are who we are at this point. We have a lot of holes. We try to plug them as best we can. If we go big, we are pretty slow, if we go small then we are small. We are just trying to be the best we can with what we have, and for the most part I am really proud of our team. I think they have done a good job this season.”
Looking forward to Stanford…
“The thing about Stanford is they are just so consistent. They play the same every game. They don’t beat themselves, you have to beat them.”
