Tolman On Gold Glove Team
EUGENE, Ore. –Mitchell Tolman has been named to the ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Team. He is just one of nine players nationwide to receive the award and the first Oregon Duck.
Tolman (Lake Forest, Calif. / El Toro HS) earned the honor at third base, where he ended the season after playing second base during the first half of the season. The junior finished the season with a .982 fielding percentage with just two of his five errors during the season coming at third base. Tolman, who was also selected first-team All-Pac-12 and second-team ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-West Region, was picked in last week’s Major League Baseball Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the seventh round.
