11 Ducks Playing Summer Ball

EUGENE, Ore. – Eleven players from Oregon’s 2015 baseball team who are expected to be a part of next year’s team are competing in summer wooden back leagues around the country this summer.
Four of those Ducks are playing in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League, two each are playing in the Jayhawk Baseball League and the West Coast League, and one each are competing in the California Collegiate League and the Northwoods League. One Duck is competing for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team.
Left-handed pitcher Matt Krook and shortstop Mark Karaviotis are playing for the Wareham Gatemen in the Cape. Right-handed pitcher Trent Paddon is with the Brewster Whitecaps while catcher Tim Susnara is competing for the Cotuit Kettleers of the CCBL. Right-handed pitcher Stephen Nogosek earned a spot with the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team, becoming the sixth Duck to be named to Team USA.
Infielder Daniel Patzlaff and right-handed pitcher Kohl Hostert are in the WCL with the Medford Rogues, while outfielder Jakob Goldfarb and infielder Kyle Kasser are playing for the El Dorado Broncos of the JBL. Catcher Slade Heggen is with the Rochester Honkers of the Northwoods League. Outfielder Austin Grebeck is playing in the CCL with the Los Angeles Brewers.
