The University of Oregon Beach Volleyball program was built on a simple conviction: that championship opportunity belongs to every student-athlete who wears the green and yellow. What launched in the early 2010s as one of the West Coast’s emerging programs has matured into something far more ambitious. The 2026 season marked a giant leap forward. Ranked victories. Historic starts to the season. A recruiting footprint that now reaches the nation’s most talented student-athletes.
In 2026, under first-year head coach Kristian Kuld, the Ducks delivered the most successful campaign in program history, setting the program’s single-season wins record and signaling the arrival of a new era.
A Culture Built to Win and Last
Coach Kuld’s program is defined by a clear mission: to develop competitive, courageous leaders who lead generative lives. The Ducks compete with incredible spirit and ambition while building a team culture grounded in seven core values: communication, respect, habits, relationships, selflessness, joy, and compete.

Oregon Beach Volleyball exists to help young women build meaningful relationships with teammates, coaches, and community, while achieving excellence in all competitive and academic endeavors. Coach Kuld and his staff are committed to mentoring student-athletes toward personal excellence on and off the sand, cultivating courage, accountability, vulnerability, and trust. The result is a program that develops not just better athletes, but better students, friends, mentors, and leaders, adding to the rich history of Oregon Athletics. None of this would be possible without the alumni, whose dedication, commitment, and tireless efforts laid the foundation of this program.
The Foundation Behind the Rise
This culture is reinforced by Oregon’s enduring commitment to women’s athletics. Initiatives like Women in Flight, alongside the athletic department’s longstanding commitment to a first-class experience for all student-athletes, prepare Ducks to thrive while at the UO and well beyond graduation. And the generosity of alumni, donors, and fans has sustained a program rooted in opportunity, equity, and excellence.

The $3,500,000 project is designed to be both high-performance and highly visible. This new facility will feature three competition courts located in the center of campus. The project also includes a state-of-the-art locker room inside Matthew Knight Arena, opened in September 2025, ensuring our student-athletes have access to world-class training, recovery, and team culture.
