Devon Shea joined the Ducks in June 2008 and serves as the associate athletic director for facilities and events.
Shea joined Oregon after spending five years as the Senior Director of Operations at ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California. Shea was responsible for all aspects of arena operations for over two hundred events annually. These events included: NBA and WNBA basketball games, the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, NHL hockey games, as well as various concerts and many other events. Prior to his time in Sacramento, Shea spent two years as the Director of Operations at Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Shea began his career in arena operations in 1998 as an operations assistant at Alltel Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida. He then spent two years as the Event and Operations Manager at Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Shea returned to Alltel Stadium in 2001 for a brief stint as the Event Manager.
Shea earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in cognitive science from the University of California, San Diego in 1996. He then went on to earn his Masters in sport administration and facility management from Ohio University in 1998.
