Maggie Doe currently serves as the Chief Athletics Health Officer and Head Team Physician for the University of Oregon Athletic Department. In this role, Maggie oversees and coordinates medical care for all student-athletes, with the primary aim of protecting their health, safety, and well-being. As a former student-athlete, she works to understand each student-athlete’s individual health goals and priorities while recognizing the unique demands of the collegiate athletic experience. Throughout her time at Oregon, Maggie has fostered strong connections and collaborated effectively across the department.
Prior to her role at Oregon, Maggie held the Head Team Physician position at The Ohio State University where she also completed her fellowship in Sports Medicine.
Maggie graduated from Loyola University Chicago, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating magna cum laude while playing Division I soccer, where she was named Most Valuable Player in 2011. Following her studies at Loyola, Maggie attended Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Family Medicine residency at St. Joseph's Bruner Family Medicine where she also earned the Thomas Kail Dedication to Primary Care award.
Maggie’s past work experience and education have allowed her to thrive in her role at Oregon and she is excited to be a part of the evolution of college athletics and athletic medicine.
In her free time she enjoys skiing, hiking, and camping with her partner and her 2 dogs Dottie and Piper!
