Jody Sykes

- Senior Associate Athletic Director - Chief Compliance Officer
Jody Sykes joined the Oregon athletic department in July 2013. Sykes is the senior associate athletic director and chief compliance officer for UO athletics. She is responsible for educating, supervising and enforcing all NCAA policy including: name, image and likeness, ethical conduct, amateurism, financial aid, recruiting and eligibility. Sykes is also sport liaison to women’s golf and women’s beach volleyball.
Before coming to Eugene, Sykes worked as associate athletic director for compliance at the University of Louisville. While at Louisville, Sykes helped coordinate compliance efforts for 23 sports and 600 student-athletes. Sykes has also worked as director of compliance at the University of Pittsburgh and Robert Morris University.
Sykes has been a member of the NCAA Division I women’s golf committee and various other NCAA committees. She has also served the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) on the membership and awards committee, as a mentor and in various other roles. Sykes is currently the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) compliance liaison.
Sykes was an all-conference golfer at the University of Montana, where she graduated with a degree in business administration. She received her Masters of Education in sports management from the University of Arkansas.
