Juliana Hernandez joined the Oregon Athletics Marketing department as an assistant director of promotions and gameday experience in July 2024, where she oversees marketing and game presentation for volleyball, baseball and beach volleyball.
She previously spent three years at Long Beach State where she oversaw all marketing efforts for the Long Beach Women's Soccer, Men's Basketball, Men's Volleyball, Women's Beach Volleyball and Men's Golf programs. She elevated from a marketing intern to marketing coordinator to associate director of marketing in three years. Her responsibilities included brand management, game presentation, overall fan experience, and social media & graphic design for all assigned sports. Additionally, Juliana oversaw the student internship program which included hiring, training and scheduling of student interns. During her time at Long Beach, Hernandez broke numerous attendance records for both Men's Basketball and Men's Volleyball - she currently holds the record for the second highest attendance in Long Beach State Men's Volleyball history.
Outside of her previous experience, Hernandez has worked and hosted a number of major sporting events including the NCAA Women's Volleyball First and Second Rounds, NCAA Baseball Regionals, College Football Playoff First Round, NCAA Men's Volleyball National Championship Tournament. She graduated in 2020 with a B.A. in Sport Communications from California Lutheran University, where she was a four year Women's Soccer student-athlete. In addition, she has a M.A. in Sports Management from Long Beach State. Hernandez is originally from Orange County, California and currently resides in Eugene.
