Lorraine Davis earned her doctoral degree in health education from the University of Oregon in 1972 with special preparation in statistics, research, curriculum and special populations. She joined the faculty at the University of Oregon faculty as an assistant professor in 1972, teaching statistics, research methods and health education. She served in various central administration roles in academic affairs from 1990 to the present. Lorraine was Vice President for Academic Affairs for many years and after semi-retirement was Interim Athletic Director and Acting Senior Vice President and Provost during transition periods. Lorraine is currently serving as a Special Assistant to the President, Provost and Athletic Director as a Professor Emerita. Dr. Davis provides oversight for the Jaqua Center for Support Services for Student Athletes, is Deputy Director of the EC Brown Foundation, and serves a a member of the Senior Staff in the Athletic Department.
