Nate Krueger

Nate Krueger was promoted to the role of assistant athletic director for communications in February 2021 and is the primary media contact for Oregon football and women's golf while also overseeing the UO athletic communications office.
Krueger has worked in the Oregon athletic communications office since starting as a student worker in the fall of 2013. The Auburn, Wash,. native spent three years as a student intern and then the 2016-17 season as the department's full-time intern before being elevated to assistant director of athletic communications in June 2017.
Prior to taking over football communications efforts, Krueger has spent time as the primary sport information director (SID) for women's basketball, softball, men's and women's track and field and cross country, volleyball, women's golf, women's lacrosse, men's tennis and beach volleyball.
In 2019-20, Krueger was the SID for the Oregon women's basketball team that swept the Pac-12 regular-season and tournament championships and was the favorite to win the NCAA championship before the season was cut short due to COVID-19. Krueger worked closely with unanimous national player of the year and eventual No. 1 WNBA Draft pick Sabrina Ionescu, as well as two more top-10 WNBA Draft selections and all-Americans in Satou Sabally and Ruthy Hebard.
As the full-time intern in 2016-17, Krueger was the primary contact for the women's track and field program that completed the historic triple crown with national championships in cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field. Krueger worked with Bowerman Award winner Raevyn Rogers - along with many more all-Americans and national champions - as well as Edward Cheserek, the winningest male athlete in NCAA history.
As a student intern, Krueger was the lead intern for UO baseball communication efforts for three seasons.
Prior to attending UO, Krueger worked for three years (2011-13) as a marketing and promotions game day intern for the Seattle Mariners. He graduated from Auburn High School in June 2013.
A 2016 graduate from Oregon, Krueger earned his bachelor of science degree in journalism with a focus on public relations.
