Six Ducks Set for USATF Junior Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – Six freshmen from the Oregon track and field teams will extend their 2018 seasons at the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships this weekend in Bloomington, Ind.
All six Ducks in action are coming off of their true freshman seasons at Oregon, with four from the women's team and two from the men's squad. In order to be eligible for the USATF Junior Championships, student-athletes must not turn 20 years old at any time in 2018.
Jasmin Reed and Lauren Rain Williams will both run the 100 and 200 meters, while Shae Anderson will also compete in the 200 as well as the 400 meters. Kaylah Robinson will be in the 100-meter hurdles with Joseph Anderson in the 110-meter hurdles, and Cooper Teare will run both the 1,500 and 5,000 meters.
The meet begins Friday afternoon and will run through Sunday at Hayes Track at the Haugh Complex on the Indiana University campus. Friday will feature the first round and final of the women's 100 meters and the men's 110-meter hurdles (Anderson), as well as the final of the men's 5,000 meters. The first round of the women's 200 and 400 meters will take place Saturday, as will opening round and final of the women's 100-meter hurdles. The Ducks will wrap the weekend in Bloomington with the finals of the men's 1,500 meters and the women's 200 and 400 meters on Sunday.
