Women's Tennis Crushes Boston College, 7-0

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. ? The University of Oregon women's tennis team improved to 4-0 with a 7-0 victory over Boston College at the University of Minnesota Court Classic Saturday. In the victory, the Ducks won all three doubles matches and all six singles matches in straight sets.
"We started out a little slow in doubles but turned up the intensity and came away with a solid victory," Oregon head coach Nils Schyllander said. "Top to bottom, I felt we had a good showing and look forward to playing a solid Missouri squad tomorrow."
In doubles, No. 45-ranked Daria Panova and Dominika Dieskova came away with their team-leading ninth doubles win of the season, defeating BC's Szilvia Szededi and Nida Waseem, 8-2. Seniors Davina Mendiburu and Ester Bak improved to 8-2 on the season with an 8-6 victory at the No. 3 position.
Oregon is now a perfect 12-0 in dual doubles matches this season.
In singles, the Ducks won at all six positions in straight sets. No. 34 Panova got back to the .500 mark (5-5) with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Szededi at No. 1 singles. No. 34 Dieskova won her ninth match of the season at the No. 2 spot. Mendiburu picked up her tenth win of the season (10-1) at the No. 3 position.
In singles play, the Ducks are a perfect 4-0 at the No. 2, No. 4 and No. 6 positions respectively.
The Ducks will face Missouri tomorrow (Sun.) at 11 a.m. in the championship match. Missouri defeated host Minnesota, 4-3, to advance. Last season, Oregon defeated Missouri, 5-2.
