
Lacrosse Makes History with 19-11 Win Over Marist

EUGENE ? The University of Oregon women's lacrosse team made history Friday evening with its first win in school history, a 19-11 decision over Marist at home at Pape' Field.

May tallied her five goals on six shots, while four other Ducks claimed multiple goals ? freshman attacker Lindsay Killian (3 goals, 1 assist, 4 shots, 3 shots on goal), freshman attacker Jana Bradley (3 goals, 1 assist, 4 shots, 4 shots on goal), Gaebe (2 goals, 1 assist, 4 shots, 3 shots on goal) and freshman defender Cara Mead (2 goals, 2 shots, 2 shots on goal).
UO senior goalkeeper Louisa Dorsch started the game and played 43 minutes, allowed four goals, faced 10 shots, and came up with four saves. Freshman back-up Allison O'Brien started the first 17 minutes of the second half and allowed seven goals, faced 14 shots and came up with three saves.
For Marist, the pair of Lindsey Diner and Lauren Serge each scored two goals, and tallied a team-high three shots. In goal, Heather Ripp played all 60:00 and faced 34 shots and came up with six saves.
