Porter, a 5-foot-6 guard from Detroit, had 19 points and five 3-pointers in each half, and ended the first half with a 65-foot shot at the buzzer to give Oregon (3-0) a 48-31 lead at the break.

Brian Wright of Washington State (2/21/1988) also shared the previous Mac Court record.
Porter's 38 points was five shy of Greg Ballard's school record 43 (3/9/1977 vs. Oral Roberts). It was the most scored by an Oregon player since Luke Jackson's memorable 40-point NIT game versus Colorado, 3/17/2004.
