EUGENE ? The University of Oregon men's tennis team continued its struggles against USC, losing its twelfth straight match to the University of Southern California, 4-3, Saturday afternoon.

Oregon got off to a solid start, claiming the doubles point when they took two of the three matches. Markus Schiller and Vlad Pino defeated Jeff Kazarian and Kaes Van't Hof, 8-4. They were joined in victory by the point-clinching duo of Thomas Bieri and Gustavo Loza, who defeated Jamil Al-Agba and Dejean Cvetkovic, 8-6.

The Ducks couldn't capitalize on the positive momentum to win the match, but they won two singles matches on the day.

Thomas Bieri won a tight first set, 6-4 over Dejean Cvetkovic. Cvetkovic rallied to win the second 6-2, before Bieri won a hard fought super tie breaker, 11-9 to win the match.

Markus Schiller was also a winner on the day as he rolled, 6-1 in his first set over Jamil Al-Agba. Al-Agba won a tight second set 7-5 before retiring early in the third set.

Oregon has one final match remaining as they face Washington next Saturday in Seattle beginning at 2:00 p.m.
