Beavers Stun Ducks in OT, 65-59

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) ? Casey Nash scored 27 points and Oregon State rallied from an 18-point halftime deficit to beat Oregon 65-59 in overtime. Mercedes Fox-Griffin added 11 points for the Beavers (8-10, 3-6), and was 7-for-10 from the free-throw line in the overtime session to seal Oregon State's first victory at McArthur Court since 2002.

Taylor Lilley scored 12 to lead the Ducks (10-9, 2-7), who were outscored 12-6 in overtime.

The Beavers, who trailed 34-16 at halftime, took a 53-51 lead with 16 seconds remaining in regulation on a three-point play by Judie Lomax. Oregon's Kaela Chapdelaine was fouled at the other end after rebounding a missed attempt by Eleanor Haring.

With 7.2 seconds left, Chapdelaine stepped to the line and made both free throws to tie the game. Lomax missed a layup with time running out to send the game into overtime.

The Beavers opened the second half on a 20-2 run to tie the game 36-36 with 11:25 to play. Former Duck Ashley Allen led the charge, knocking a couple of 3-pointers and scoring eight points total during Oregon State's run.

Chapdelaine put Oregon back up with a 3-pointer and the Ducks went on a 12-3 run to take a 50-41 advantage with 6:15 to go. But Nash, who scored 15 points in the second half, recorded nine straight points for the Beavers to pull them back to within a single point, 51-50, with 1:32 left, setting up the frantic finish in regulation.

Oregon jumped on the Beavers early in the first half, taking a 14-3 lead before Oregon State made its first field goal. The Ducks lead by as many as 20 points, 32-12.

The Beavers missed their first nine shots from the field before Nash hit a turnaround jumper to make it 14-5 at the 12:38 mark.

Overall, Oregon State shot just 24 percent in the first half and made only six field goals ? five by Nash, who scored 12 points before halftime.

Lomax and Allen scored 10 each for the Beavers, while Carolyn Ganes and Tamika Nurse each scored 11 for the Ducks, and Haring recorded 10 points and 14 rebounds.

The teams will conclude their annual two-game series on Sunday with a 5:30 game in Corvallis.

QUACK TRACKS: The crowd of 3,704 was a season-high ... The Ducks out-rebounded their opponent for the first time in 10 games and first time in Pac-10 play this season ... Oaks surpassed her previous career high in rebounds in the first half ... eight of UO's first 11 attempts of the game were from three-point range (2-of-8) ...
