Maekawa Leads Ducks at Alister MacKenzie Invitational

FAIRFAX, Calif. ? Freshman Sean Maekawa fired rounds of 69-65 and was tied for 10th at 7-under 135 following the first two rounds of the Alister MacKenzie Invitational, played Monday at the par-71, 6,606-yard Meadow Club.
As a team, Oregon was 12th at 559.
Washington led the tournament at 541. Louisville and UC Davis were tied for second at 548. Oregon State was fourth at 549 and California and Fresno State were tied for fifth at 551.
Louisville's Daryl Fathauer shot a 128 and led Washington's Zach Bixler by three strokes in the individual race.
Oregon's top three individuals were freshman with Isaiah Telles shooting a 140 and Jack Dukeminier carding a 141. Telles had a 67 in the opening round and was tied for 31st, while Dukeminier was tied for 36th.
