WACO, Texas ? The 10^th-ranked Baylor Bears showed why they continue to be one of the most successful teams in the country on Wednesday night, remaining undefeated on the season with an 80-45 victory over Oregon at the Ferrell Center.

After nearly two weeks off from the team's last game on Nov. 29, Baylor (7-0) showed little signs of rust, forcing Oregon (5-4) into a season-high tying 27 turnovers, and holding the Ducks to season-lows in points (45) and shooting percentage (.232).

Baylor's 80 points were also the most the Ducks have allowed this season.

Senior guard and Big XII second-team selection Angela Tisdale led Baylor with 24 points. The Bears had three players finish in double figures, as Baylor shot 47.5 percent from the floor.

Jhasmin Player added 15 points for Baylor, while Jessica Morrow chipped in 14.

Baylor's Danielle Wilson also set a new program record for the Bears with nine blocked shots.

The 35-point loss was the worst for Oregon this season, and the program's largest defeat since a 95-50 loss at Washington on Jan. 15, 2004.

The Ducks were led by freshman posts Ellie Manou and Victoria Kenyon. Off the bench, Kenyon scored eight points on 6-of-6 shooting from the free throw line, while Manou was 4-of-8 from the floor for a team-leading nine points.

Since head coach Kim Mulkey's reign at Baylor began during the 2000-01 season, Baylor has dropped only one home non-conference game ? a 69-55 loss to then 12^th-ranked Purdue last season.

Baylor first established a double-digit lead, 19-8, with under just10 minutes to go in the first half after Player drained a three-pointer. It was part of a 13-0 run for the Bears as the Baylor defense held Oregon scoreless for over seven minutes.

Baylor then ended the first period on a 16-0 run, holding the Ducks without a field goal for the final 15:10 of the half and taking a 44-11 lead into the locker room. The Ducks knocked down only three field goals (3-of-25) in the first 20 minutes, and scored their final three points of the half from the free-throw line.

Oregon committed 16 first-half turnovers, as Baylor scored 25 points off the Ducks' miscues.

Oregon's 11 first-half points set a new program low for fewest points scored in a half. The previous number was 14, occurring against South Carolina (Nov. 28, 2002) and at Washington (Feb. 17, 1991).

Oregon remains on the road for the rest of the month of December. The Ducks head to Cancun, Mexico next week for the Caribbean Classic, and will start the tournament playing South Florida at 5:30 p.m. PST on Tuesday. Oregon will then play Tulsa at 5:30 p.m. PST on Wednesday. Both games can be heard on KSCR 1320.

QUICK QUACKS: Head coach Bev Smith used a new lineup on Wednesday, starting Tamika Nurse, Taylor Lilley, Kaela Chapdelaine, Ellie Manou and Ellyce Ironmonger...the Ducks have not defeated a ranked opponent on the road since Nov. 19, 2000, knocking off then-No.19 North Carolina State, 50-47...Baylor is now 2-0 in the series against Oregon.
