
Ducks Dominate No. 22 California, 62-42

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -- Eleanor Haring scored 17 points to lead Oregon to a 62-42 victory over No. 22 California on Thursday night.
Taylor Lilley added 10 points for the Ducks (15-10, 7-8 Pac-10), who shot 60.9 percent from the field in the second half in winning the fifth game out of their last six. The Ducks shot 48 percent overall.
Devanei Hampton had 27 points and 13 rebounds for California (19-7, 9-6), which committed 19 turnovers and shot 34 percent. Cal was 0-for-9 on 3-point attempts.
Oregon led 23-20 at halftime. Hampton scored Cal's first seven points of the second half to cut the Golden Bears' deficit to 29-27. But the Ducks pulled away with a 15-2 run midway through the second half, capped by Lilley's 3-pointer with 5:30 remaining. The Golden Bears were scoreless for almost 5 minutes during Oregon's run.
Micaela Cocks hit a pair of free throws to give Oregon its largest lead, 60-38 with 1:21 left.
Hampton was 10-for-17 from the field. The rest of the Golden Bears went 6-for-30. Ashley Walker, Cal's leading scorer, had four points and five turnovers.
QUACK TRACKS: Oregon's last win against a top 25 team came on March 19, 2005 against No. 23 TCU, 58-55, in the first round of the NCAA tournament in Seattle, Wash. ...
