Hildahl Leads Ducks in Gator Finale

GAINESVILLE, Fla. ? The No. 47 University of Oregon women's golf team climbed another two spots in Sunday's third and final round of the Lady Gator Invitational to finish ninth overall.
The Ducks shot a 303 and counted scores from sophomore Kate Hildahl (74), freshman Kendra Little (74), sophomore Felicia Eastick (77) and junior Cathryn Bristow (78) on the par 70, 5,907-yard Mark Bostick Course. Junior Blair Ressler carded a 77 as an individual entrant, and freshman Kendra Little added a 79 as UO's other official entry.
In earlier rounds, UO shot scores of 321 and 295 Friday and Saturday, respectively.
In the overall standings, Hildahl led the Ducks on the individual leaderboard for the third straight round and improved one position to 27th (77-73-74-224), and was followed by Eastick (44th, 83-71-77-231), Bristow (53rd-t, 80-76-78-234), Omlid (56th-t, 81-75-79-235), Little (60th-t, 85-78-74-237) and Ressler (72nd-t, 88-77-77-242).
Hildahl led the Ducks in the final standings for the second time in her career after she tied for 32nd in the Kitahara Fresno State Invitational last spring (82-73-155). Her top individual round scores in the first and third rounds stood as the fourth and fifth of her 41 collegiate career rounds.
Overall in the tourney, Florida's Tiffany Chudy maintained her top position heading into the day and added another to her leading margin to win by three (69-70-70-209) over Louisville's Cindy LaCrosse (second, 69-72-271-212) and Florida's Whitney Myers (third, 70-71-72-213).
As a team, No. 5 Florida put its four scorers in the top seven overall and added another 10 strokes to its lead (280-283-286-849) to win by 23 over No. 26 Louisville (290-286-296-872), No. 17 Wake Forest (third, 301-295-279-875) and Ole Miss (fourth, 293-292-307-892).
Other teams in the field included No. 34 North Carolina (fifth, 292-310-296-898), No. 36 Georgia State (299-301-299-899), North Carolina-Greensboro (312-301-302-915), No. 46 August State (305-305-307-917), No. 47 Oregon (ninth, 321-295-303-919), South Florida (10th-t, 306-302-312-920), Colorado (10th-t, 312-309-299-920), UT Chattanooga (12th, 308-310-304-922), Kentucky (13th, 313-298-316-927), Florida International (14th, 310-311-314-935) and Florida Atlantic (15th, 320-311-312-943).
