Golfers Finish 10th at Stanford

STANFORD, Calif. ? Oregon shot a 297 in the final round Sunday to finish 10th at the U.S. Intercollegiate, played at the 6,742-yard, par-70 Stanford Golf Course.
Derek Sipe was Oregon's top individual, tying for 27th at 218. Joey Benedetti had a final round 72 to finish tied for 38th at 222.
USC won easily with 828 strokes to defeat Stanford by 13 shots. The Cardinal had 841, while California and UCLA tied for third at 857.
The Trojans' Rory Hie took medalist honors at 10-under 200. Hie had a 67 Sunday to defeat three golfers by eight strokes.
The Ducks now enter the championship portion of their schedule with the Pac-10 championships coming up April 28-30 at California.
