UO v. Santa Clara
03/07/2009
Head Coach George Horton
On the game:
“For the first three innings in game one we woke up. Then, we played slower again. It is just the immaturity, because we are a young team.”
On tomorrow's game:
“We are 2-2 with two innings left. We have to keep up the good game. I am still searching and trying to get the best chemistry in our batting order. Trying to see what works best for us is a learning experience for me too. Sometimes it is a mystery how and why the lineups work.”
#17 Mitch Karraker
On his home run:
“I saw the pitch really well and put a good swing to it. After the last four losses, the win today was huge for us, especially emotionally. I was really excited to get back on the field. We had played for so long that we didn't even realize how late it was. We will be ready tomorrow to continue this game.”
#33 John Adamson
On the game:
“I played defense and it worked out well. I have been practicing hard and I try to do my best for the good of the whole team. We all have been trying to step up more.”
On his debut:
“I was anxious to play when I got my chance. I felt a little nervous in the beginning, but then I settled down so I could see what I could do. My parents came up this weekend and they were here today for my first start. It is my father's birthday tomorrow. It was a nice win today and I am hoping for the best tomorrow.”
