Game 2 • Oregon vs. Purdue • Sept. 12, 2009
•SR CB Walter Thurmond III scored the fourth career touchdown (third INT return for a TD) in his career. His three interceptions returned for touchdowns ties an UO record.
•JR DT Zac Clark blocked an extra point attempt in the third quarter, preventing Purdue from tying the game at 31-all (31-30).
•SO ROV Javes Lewis scored the first touchdown of his career on a 28-yard fumble recovery and return.
•JR QB Jeremiah Masoli rushed for a touchdown for the eighth time in his last nine games, dating to last season.
•FR RB Kenjon Barner scored the first touchdown of his career, rushing 21 yards on 3rd-and-19.
•JR MLB Casey Matthews picked off the first pass of his career, setting up the game's first points on a UO field goal.
•SR PK Morgan Flint made his first appearance of the season on a field goal attempt in the first quarter. Oregon did not attempt any field goals or extra points in the season opener at Boise State on Sept. 3.
•SR RB Andre Crenshaw made his second career start in his 31st career game.
•FR FS John Boyett made his first career start, filling in for injured SR FS T.J. Ward.
•UO's Chip Kelly earned his first career win as a head coach.
•The Ducks prevailed in their home opener for a fifth straight year.
