Game Notes
No. 3 Oregon at Washington State • Oct. 9, 2010 • Pullman, Wash. (Martin Stadium)
• Oregon is 6-0 for the first time since 2002 and sixth time in its 115-year history. The Ducks are 3-0 to start conference play for the second straight season.
• The Ducks have allowed just 13 points after halftime this season and none in the fourth.
• SO RB LaMichael James eclipsed the 100-yard mark for the fourth time this season (136 yards) and 13th time in his career - one shy of Jonathan Stewart's all-time UO record.
• James rushed for two touchdowns and caught another (his first career receiving score) and has a TD in every game he's played this season. In 18 carer games, he has 23 rushing touchdowns.
• SR QB Nate Costa rushed for a career-high 84 yards and passed for a career-best 13 completions and 151 yards (on 15 attempts).
• The 84-yard pass and catch between SO QB Darron Thomas and James marked the longest career play for each player. It was also the longest pass play by the Ducks since an 85-yard hookup between Dennis Dixon and Brian Paysinger at Michigan in 2007.
• SO CB Cliff Harris returned a punt for a touchdown (67 yards) for the third time this season, setting a new UO single-season record.
• SR WR Jeff Maehl had UO's first 100-yard receiving performance of the year with 10 grabs for 119 yards and a TD. He also extended his reception streak to 27 games.
• With 132 career receptions, Maehl moved past Bobby Moore (Ahmad Rashad) and into seventh place on the Oregon career list.
• Oregon attempted and converted its first 2-point PAT of the season.
• JR TE David Paulson now has 22 career receptions, 20 resulting in either a first down or a touchdown.
• SO RB Kenjon Barner, who was injured on a kickoff return in the first quarter, was alert and listed in stable condition at Pullman Regional Hospital.
• The Ducks improved to 9-0 when scoring first in the Chip Kelly era.
• UO tied its season-high with four sacks (for 26 yards).
• UO's 326 points to date are the most for a six-game stretch in school history.
• The 43 points by UO was the fewest scored by the Ducks vs. WSU in the past four meetings.
