Isagawa Tied for Lead After Ihlanfeldt Second Round

SAMMAMISH, Wash. – University of Oregon freshman Cassy Isagawa shot a one-under 71 in the second round of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational Tuesday to move into a tie for the lead with one round remaining.
The Wailuku, Hawai'i native improved one position on the individual leaderboard Tuesday after she shot the second-best score of the round and third-best of the tourney. Her overall score of 143 (72-71) tied with her Washington's Jennifer Yang (73-70-143) on the par-72, 6,003-yard Sahalee Golf Course.
In the second round, Isagawa shot three birdies (holes #5, 6, 10), 13 par scores (#2-4, 7, 9, 11-18) and only two bogeys (#1, 8).
Three other Ducks also stood top 20 overall at Tuesday's conclusion – sophomore Raphaela Dyer (11th-tie, 76-75-151), senior Ashley Edwards (17th-tie, 77-75-152) and junior Cheyenne Hickle (17th-tie, 76-76-152).
Freshman Monica Petchakan carded UO's second-best score of the round (74) and climbed into a tie for 34th (82-74-156) in the individual standings.
Oregon's other Tuesday birdie/par counts follow: Edwards (1/13), Hickle (-/15), Dyer (3/10) and Petchakan (2/12).
Team-wise, the No. 34 Ducks shot the second-best score of the second round – a seven-over 295 - and ranked third overall (301-295-596) in the 12-team field Tuesday
Overall in the team results, No. 16 Colorado (299-296-595) was tied for the team lead with No. 17 California (299-296-595), one stroke ahead of Oregon.
The top five was rounded out by No. 21 Washington (fourth, 303-294-597) who was one stroke better than UO for the day's best team score, and first-day leader Oregon State (fifth, 298-313-611).
