Postgame Quotes

Oregon Head Coach Paul Westhead
On the game...
"We have two major goals; win the game and score 100 points. Well tonight we got one of them. You win with experience and toughness. They did a good job, but that could have turned around quickly and we could have easily lost. It was gritty. We came out a little flat. The shooter got going and then they start cutting up on the offensive glass. We got a little tired, what we do can tire us out. They were more than happy to win though. We did not need to encourage them; they had all the encouragement that they needed. They had it going at us. Hard."
On Amanda Johnson...
"Amanda Johnson, she was our go to. Whenever I am stuck, I go to her. She is a gamer. She is an example of someone working hard and having experience. She worked hard the first two years and we are getting the return now."
On Jasmin Holliday...
"Jasmin made a big basket for us. A play that we set up, so what can I say."
Forward Jasmin Holliday
On the team...
"Bringing everyone together at the free throw and making sure that we are all on the same page has been really helping. We trust everyone on the team to do their job."
On the game...
"Some things we did better this game compared to the Cal Poly game. We just have to make sure that we establish the other goals that we set in the future games."
Forward Amanda Johnson
On the game...
"We're able to keep the game going without stoppage and run them down. We're a young team and we just have to stay composed. It's easy to become panicked and have that sense of urgency, but we really just have to stay composed. Coach (Westhead) seems to think that becoming tired is a physical thing, but I think it is more about mental toughness. We have to establish our mental toughness and come in to the half prepared. We are a little slow at the start of the half, but we just have to adjust and move forward. We just have to come out with our initial goals that we had."
