On tonight's game…
“The
only thing I can say is that there were six to nine very makeable plays
that we didn't score on in the first 12 to 15 minutes of the game. That
tests the team's tenacity when they have makeable plays but they are
not converting.”
On Washington's Kristi Kingma's recording breaking game…
“She
shot very well. Give her a lot of credit. We could have been more
aggressive. Some of the shots she made, she positioned herself well and
made them, while some of the shots we closed out and she still made
them. Washington's shooters, especially Kingma, were spectacular
tonight.”
On Oregon's offensive output…
“We did a good
job pounding the ball inside to our bigs. Jill Alleyne had a good night.
Liz Brenner helped us inside. We need our outside kids to be more
productive but it's better than it was.”

we didn't do enough because she kept scoring. When you have good
shooters like that hanging out on the three point line, you have to
force them to do what they aren't used to doing which is driving. We let
her continue to sit out there and shoot threes.”
On looking forward to the Washington State game Sunday…
“Our
goal every game is to win. It doesn't matter if we beat them before.
It's a new game and a new day. We need to come out and prepare for a
battle.”
On how the team can find success…
“It starts
individually. It's a mindset to work hard and give your best effort. If
you can make the decision to step up, other people will feed off of that
energy. Despite the score, despite our record, we need to go out and
give it our all. We can't say “Oh my God, we're down” and then give up.
That's not what Oregon Basketball is about and that's not what this
university is about.”
