STANFORD, Calif. -- No. 4 Stanford defeated the University of Oregon women's basketball team, 74-50, on Sunday at Maples Pavilion in Stanford, Calif. The win was the Cardinal's 12th straight, improving their record to 26-2 overall and 15-1 in Pac-12 Conference play. The Ducks fell to 4-24 on the year and 2-14 in league action.

Chiney Ogwumike tallied game-highs with 27 points and 24 rebounds to pace Stanford. Her 24 rebounds were both a new career-high and also set a school record for rebounds in a single game. Amber Orrange added 12 points as the only other Stanford player to reach double-figures.

Jillian Alleyne led the Ducks with 12 points and 10 rebounds for her 10th double-double of the season, scoring all 12 of her points in the second stanza. Fellow freshman Devyn Galland had 10 points to reach double-figures in scoring for the second straight game.

The Cardinal had a 55-45 rebounding advantage in the game. Stanford made 37.3 percent of its field goals (28-of-75), while UO was limited to 25.7 percent shooting from the field (18-of-70).

Stanford jumped out to a 7-0 lead over the first two minutes of the game before Danielle Love made a pair of free throws to put Oregon on the scoreboard at the 18:08 mark.

Liz Brenner scored on a post move with 15:11 in the first half to make the score 11-6, the closest Oregon would get since the opening tip. Stanford then posted a 12-0 run capped by an inside basket from Ogwumike who put the Cardinal up 23-6 with 11:37 on the clock.

Galland broke UO's scoreless drought with a corner 3-pointer at the 10:13 mark to make it a 23-9.

Stanford surged to take a 20-point lead, 29-9, after a 3-pointer from Jasmine Camp with just over eight minutes in the game. The Ducks countered by outscoring the Cardinal, 5-2, over the next four minutes. Amanda Delgado came off a screen and buried a long 3-pointer to make the score 31-14 with 4:24 remaining in the half.

Galland scored six points down the stretch, a 3-point play and a long three from the corner, to narrow the Cardinal lead to 18 points.

The Cardinal took a 40-22 lead into the halftime locker room. Ogwumike had a double-double by the midway point with 11 points and 14 rebounds. The Ducks were led by Galland who had nine points in five minutes of action.

Alleyne made a pair of baskets and sank a couple of free throws to pull the Ducks within 13 points, 45-32, three minutes into the second stanza.

The Ducks fell behind 22 points, 56-34, but came back to score five unanswered after a jump hook in the lane by Alleyne and a 3-point play from Ariel Thomas. Brenner converted a jump hook in the lane with 11:40 remaining to cap a 7-2 run for the Ducks and put the score at 58-41.

Thomas hit a jumper from the elbow at the 9:36 mark to make it a 17-point game, but the Ducks would not get any closer.

Stanford's largest lead was 26 points, 72-46, with 3:42 left in the game.

Oregon (4-24, 2-14 Pac-12) will return to the hardwood next week with games against Colorado (March 1) and Utah (March 3).
