• Marcus Mariota set the Oregon career record for total offense and now has 8,479, eclipsing Bill Musgrave (8,140).
• Mariota tossed three touchdown passes, taking sole possession of the UO career record with 69.
• Oregon's top three leaders in all-purpose yards were freshmen: Devon Allen (179), Royce Freeman (true frosh, 111) and Darren Carrington (66).
• Devon Allen had a team-high three catches for 110 yards and two touchdowns, including a 70-yarder. That yardage is his specialty as he is the reigning US and NCAA champion in the 110 hurdles.
• Joe Walker and Troy Hill (tied) each had a career-high nine tackles. Walker also had a pair of tackles for loss.
• Four of UO's six touchdowns came outside the Red Zone.
• Erick Dargan had his seventh-career interception and Ifo Ekpre-Olomu had his eighth. They represented the first two turnovers of the season coaxed by the Ducks.
• The Ducks converted 5 of 7 third downs after starting the game 1 of 9.
• The game officials were from the Big Ten Conference.
• The Ducks now lead the all-time series against the Spartans, 3-2.
• UO had nine tacks for loss, compared to six for Michigan State. Each team had three sacks.
• MSU's 24 second-quarter points were the most allowed in a single quarter by Oregon since Oct. 4, 2008 at USC. The Trojans scored 24 in the second quarter of a 44-10 win.
• Oregon won for the first time after trailing at halftime under Mark Helfrich (1-2). UO's second-year head coach improved to 3-1 vs. the top 25 and 1-1 vs. the top 10.
• Saturday's matchup was the first top 10 non-conference clash in Autzen Stadium history.
• The crowd of 59,456 was the ninth-largest in Autzen history and was the 98th-straight sellout.
