Quotes:
Head Coach Ria Scott
"This week was challenging for so many reasons. It is possible that the team took this tournament a little for granted because of the field, or the course no longer being at an NCAA Regional site. Instead of approaching it as another opportunity to dominate, we came out a little flat as if not understanding what was on the line."
"The course setup was extremely difficult; the hole locations were some of the toughest collectively I've seen in college golf. Regardless, we still threw away some shots and lost to some teams we need to beat."
"We need to continue to work on behing engaged for 54 holes, even during six-and-a-half hour rounds. There were teams that handled it better than us, and we need to figure out what we need to do to close that gap right now."
"We got additional experience on Bermuda grass greens and rough, which will be so valuable for us long term. Our players said that any other course they play on will seem easier after competing at Brook Valley this weekend."
"I am confident that our team has the skills to compete at a very, very high level. We just need to do a better job of accessing that when it counts."
Looking Ahead: The Ducks will now head back to Eugene to prepare for their final event of the fall, the Nanea Pac-12 Preview on Oct. 24 and 25 in Kailua Kona, Hawaii.
