Duck Teams Receive At-Large Bids to NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon men's and women's cross country teams both received an at-large bid on Saturday to the NCAA Championships that will be held Nov. 19 in Terre Haute, Ind.
The tenth-ranked men were one of five teams from the West Region to receive and at-large bid. The others were No. 20 Boise State, California, No. 8 UCLA and No. 17 Washington State. No. 4 Stanford and No. 12 Portland earned the Region's two automatic berths at Friday's NCAA West meet.
This will be the men's fifth straight appearance at the NCAA Championships. The Ducks won a trophy last year with their fourth-place finish.
Oregon's 11th-ranked women were one of four West Region teams to earn an at-large bid on Saturday. They were joined by No. 10 Portland, No. 16 San Francisco and UCLA from the West.
This will be the school-record ninth consecutive NCAA appearance from the Duck women. Oregon was third at the NCAA Championships in 2015.
