Ducks Fall to No. 11 Georgia Tech

EUGENE, Ore. - The Oregon women's tennis team fell to the No. 11 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Sunday afternoon at the Student Tennis Center, 6-1.
In doubles, Nia Rose and Rifanty Dwi Kahfiani defeated Nami Otsuka and Nadia Gizdova, 7-5. Georgia Tech claimed the doubles' point with two victories. Paige Hourigan and Rasheeda McAdoo won 6-2 over Alyssa Tobita and Shweta Sangwan. With a final of 6-2, Marlou Kluiving and Julia Eshet fell to Georgia Tech's Paige Hourigan and Kenya Jones.
In singles, Tobita earned Oregon's lone point of the day with a three set (6-2,1-6,6-1) victory over Renaud. Sangwan fought in three sets against Hourigan, with the super tiebreaker set going to Hourigan (6-0, 6-7, 10-6). Kluiving and Jones also played three sets (7-5,2-6,6-1) with Jones claiming the point for the Yellow Jackets. Dwi Kahfiani was defeated by Gizdova, 6-4, 6-1. Rose fell to McAdoo in two sets, 7-5, 6-0. With a final score of 6-1, 6-0, Eshet was bested by Otsuka.
