Notes: Ducks Look for Fourth Straight Win at Colorado
02/18/17 | Women's Basketball
Oregon is looking for its fourth straight win overall and its fourth straight against Colorado on Sunday at the Coors Events Center.
EUGENE, Ore. - The Oregon women's basketball team will look for a fourth straight win overall and a fourth straight win against Colorado when the Ducks and Buffs meet on Sunday at the Coors Events Center.
OREGON DUCKS (18-9, 8-7 Pac-12)
PPG: 73.3 | FG%: 46.2 | 3FG%: 40.1 | FT%: 71.2
Notable: With Oregon's win over Utah and ASU's loss to Arizona, the Ducks now sit alone in fifth place in the Pac-12 standings and would face the No. 12 seed in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament. As a team, the Ducks rank second in the nation in three-point percentage (40.1%) and, individually, junior Lexi Bando leads the country, shooting 51.3% from long range. Freshman Sabrina Ionescu has an NCAA-best four triple-double this season. She needs one more to match Nicole Powell's Pac-12 season record.
COLORADO BUFFALOES (14-12, 4-11 Pac-12)
PPG: 69.6 | FG%: 39.2 | 3FG%: 30.8 | FT%: 69.5
Series Record: Oregon leads, 13-7 (5-3 in Boulder)
Last Meeting: UO won, 71-66 (1/20/16 in Eugene)
Notable: Colorado played a tight game with Oregon State on Friday, falling 54-49. Kennedy Leonard had 18 points and five assists in the loss. CU's guard is averaging a team-high 17.8 points per game but is shooting 37.6% from the field and 26.5% from three. Haley Smith is the team's leading rebounder at 6.3 per game. Leonard, Smith and Alexis Robinson have started all 26 games this season.
