Ducks Set for Pac-12 Championships in Tucson

OREGON WILL OPEN THE PAC-12 BEACH VOLLEYBALL TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS ON THURSDAY AT 9 A.M. AGAINST UTAH ON PAC-12 NETWORK
EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon beach volleyball team will open the Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championships on Thursday as the No. 9 seed against Utah in the opening match of the team tournament at the Arizona Beach Volleyball Courts.
The Ducks (2-7) and Utes (1-10) will face off at 9 a.m. on Thursday on Pac-12 Network to kick off the team championships, with the winner moving on to play top-seeded and undefeated USC (35-0) at 1 p.m., and the loser moving to the contenders bracket for a match at 2 p.m. against either No. 2 seed UCLA or No. 7 seed Washington.
The team tournament will be double-elimination with the championship bracket and the contenders bracket.
The entire Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championships will be broadcast live on Pac-12 Network, starting with Oregon and Utah on Thursday and ending with the championship match on Friday. Anne Marie Anderson, Holly McPeak, Kevin Wong and Kevin Barnett will be calling all of the action.
The Ducks' pairs for the team tournament will be as follows:
1. Brooke Van Sickle and Lindsey Vander Weide
2. Taylor Agost and August Raskie
3. Willow Johnson and Maddy Silberger-Franek
4. Marine Hall-Poirier and Lauren Page
5. Maggie Scott and Ronika Stone
In addition to the team tournament, there will also be a Pac-12 Pairs Championships beginning on Friday, with the top two pairs from each team competing for the pairs title. The pairs tournament will be single elimination.
For Oregon, Van Sickle and Vander Weide will play as the No. 14 seed and will face Bianca Arellano and Whitney Follette of Arizona State on Friday at 5 p.m.
Agost and Raskie will be the No. 18 seed in the pairs tournament, and will play Bryce Bark and Olivia Rodberg of California at 3 p.m. on Friday. The winner will move on to face the No. 2-seeded pair of Nicole and Megan McNamara of UCLA.
