Ayuso Named to U19 Spain Roster

The Spanish guard is the third Oregon player to be named to a U19 national team roster.
EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon women's basketball guard Aina Ayuso has been selected for Spain's U19 national team.
Ayuso, who also played for Spain's U18 3-on-3 team earlier this summer, will compete at the FIBA U19 Women's World Championship later this month in Italy. Ayuso will join Ruthy Hebard (USA) and Anneli Maley (Australia) at the event.
"I believe Aina is one of the most talented guards in all of Europe," said head coach Kelly Graves. "I can't wait to watch her, plus Anneli and Ruthy, play at the World Championship. It's exciting to see so many of our players competing at the international level this summer."
Ayuso previously played for Spain's U17 team and the country's U16 team. She averaged 9.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game at the FIBA U17 World Championship in 2016, helping Spain to a sixth-place showing.
In addition to Ayuso, Hebard and Maley competing at the U19 World Championship, Maite Cazorla (Spain) and Satou Sabally (Germany) are playing in the FIBA U20 European Championships right now. Also, both Sabrina Ionescu and Erin Boley have been named to the USA U23 national team training camp roster.
