Men of Oregon Earn NCAA At-Large Bid

EUGENE, Ore. – One day removed from a top-five finish at the regional meet, the No. 11 Oregon men's cross country team has received an at-large bid into the 2018 NCAA Championships. The selection marks the Ducks' seventh-straight—and 43rd overall—appearance at the national meet.
The 2018 Division I Cross Country Championships will be contested Saturday, Nov. 17 in Madison, Wis. The women's race is scheduled for 8:45 a.m. PT with the men's race to follow at 9:45 a.m. The meet will be streamed live by FloTrack.
The Ducks finished fifth in a loaded field at Friday's NCAA West Regional meet in Sacramento. The race featured eight nationally ranked teams. The Men of Oregon were paced by an eighth-place performance by senior Blake Haney in the first 10K of the season. Haney earned all-region honors along with Cooper Teare (18th) and Jackson Mestler (22nd).

The Women of Oregon will also be in the field by way of their win at Friday's regional meet. The Ducks were led by the trio of Jessica Hull, Susan Ejore and Weronika Pyzik who all finished in the top 10. It is their 11th NCAA Regional title and marks their 30th national appearance.
