11/05/18 | Football
EUGENE, Ore. – For the second time this season, Ugochukwu Amadi has been named a Pac-12 Conference Player of the Week. Amadi earned the special teams honor, five weeks after claiming the defensive award.
The Ducks' senior safety/punt returner sparked Oregon to a 42-21 win over UCLA, returning a punt 56 yards for a touchdown following the Bruins first possession of the game. Amadi's punt return was the first for a touchdown by a Duck since Bralon Addison against Michigan State in 2015. In addition to the punt return for a touchdown, Amadi had three tackles and a tackle for loss against the Bruins.
Amadi's defensive player of the week award came following Oregon's win at California. In that game he picked off a pair of passes, returning one for a touchdown, while finishing with seven tackles and a pass breakup.
