2019 Football Schedule Announced
12/04/18 | Football
EUGENE, Ore. – Highlighted by seven home games at Autzen Stadium, including five in Pac-12 play, Oregon's 2019 schedule was unveiled by the league office on Tuesday.
Oregon's second season under head coach Mario Cristobal will open on Saturday, Aug. 31, against SEC West member Auburn at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The game will mark Oregon's first against an SEC opponent since 2013.
The Ducks will leave the friendly confines of Autzen Stadium just once over a six-week span after the opener. Oregon will open its home schedule against Nevada on Sept. 7 and closeout non-conference play against Montana on Sept. 14.
After its Pac-12 opener at Stanford, Oregon will follow its first of two bye weeks with its Pac-12 home opener against California on Oct. 5, and less than a week later will host Colorado on Friday, Oct. 11. It marks Oregon's first non-Civil War Friday home game since Nov. 26, 2010, when the Ducks defeated No. 20 Arizona, 48-29.
The month of October will close with a trip to Washington on Oct. 19, followed by a return home on Oct. 26, to host Washington State. The stretch of two road games in three weeks will close with a trip to USC (Nov. 2) to open the final month of the regular season.
Oregon's final bye of the regular season lands right after the USC road trip and precedes a final three-game stretch of Arizona (Nov. 16), at Arizona State (Nov. 23) and the 123rd Civil War against Oregon State (Nov. 30) at Autzen Stadium.
Three Takeaways
1. Oregon will only play one Pac-12 team (Arizona) coming off a bye week, but will also have one of its two bye weeks at the same time.
2. For the first time since 2014, Oregon will not play on the road in back-to-back weeks in Pac-12 play.
3. Compared to its 2018 schedule, Oregon will not play UCLA and Utah in 2019, while adding Colorado and USC.
