HONOLULU, Hawaii – The Oregon acrobatics and tumbling team exploded for a season-high score of 284.660 to defeat Hawai'i Pacific Monday night.
The Ducks won all six events, setting or tying season-high scores in 10 different event heats.
How it Happened: The Ducks (4-2) and Sharks put on a show in the Aloha State with the hosts recording the first of three 10s in the meet during the toss heat of the compulsory event.
Despite HPU's perfect score, The Ducks managed to edge out the Sharks scoring a 9.40 in the tumbling heat to win the event by a narrow 0.05 points, 38.70-38.65.
Both teams opened the acro event strong, recording duplicate scores of 19.7 through the first two heats. The Ducks pulled out the event win by outscoring HPU 9.80-9.50 in the seven element acro heat to win 29.50-29.20.
