Ducks to Face Iowa in 2K Classic Semifinals

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon will play Iowa in the semifinal of the 2018 2K Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project on Nov. 15 at Madison Square Garden. The Ducks will face either Syracuse or Connecticut the following night.
The Ducks and Hawkeyes last met in the second round of the 2012 NIT, when Oregon outlasted Iowa 108-97. The Hawkeyes won the first five meetings between the two schools.
The regional rounds of the 2K Classic were also announced on Monday. Oregon will host Eastern Washington and Green Bay at Matthew Knight Arena.
The Ducks will open the season Nov. 9 against Eastern Washington, which went 20-15 a year ago, lost to Montana in the championship game of the 2018 Big Sky Tournament and advanced to the first round of the CBI.
The Green Bay game is scheduled for Nov. 20. The Phoenix were 13-20 in 2017-18.
It will be the third all-time meeting between Oregon and Eastern Washington. The two schools last met on Nov. 17, 2011 (73-65, Oregon). The Ducks and Green Bay (also known as Wisconsin-Green Bay) have met four times previously, with the Phoenix winning the last game 67-58, Nov. 30, 1997, in Green Bay.
