Oregon Agrees To Home-And-Home With Michigan State

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon and Michigan State will rekindle their rivalry with a home-and-home series in 2029 and 2030.
Oregon will visit the Spartans on Sept. 8, 2029, before hosting Michigan State on Sept. 7, 2030.
The Ducks and Spartans will be meeting in a home-and-home series for the fourth time. The home team has won all six of the previous games. MSU won the first meeting, 41-17, between the two teams in East Lansing on Sept. 15, 1979. Oregon evened the series winning 35-7 in Eugene on Sept. 20, 1980.
The Ducks won their second straight game against the Spartans, 48-14, in the 1998 season opener at Autzen Stadium, before MSU evened the series with a 1999 season-opening 27-20 win at Spartan Stadium.
In a battle of teams ranked in the top 10 nationally, No. 3 Oregon handed No. 7 Michigan State a 46-27 loss on Sept. 6, 2014. The Ducks outscored the Spartans 28-0 in the final 19:33 of the game behind a pair of Marcus Mariota touchdown passes and two Royce Freeman touchdown runs to spark a run to that season's CFP National Championship Game. MSU avenged the loss the next season holding off Oregon 31-28 on Sept. 12, 2015.
The addition of Michigan State brings the total to 23 non-conference games the Ducks have scheduled between 2019 and 2030. Oregon announced a three-game series against Boise State last week that will be played in 2024, 2025 and 2026.
Oregon also has a home-and-home series scheduled with Power 5 Conference opponents Ohio State (2020, 2021), Texas Tech (2023, 2024) and Baylor (2027, 2028).
