
NFL #ProDucks: Week 2 Update

With the first two weeks of the NFL season behind us there are currently 20 #ProDucks on the active rosters of 16 teams while one is on the Active/Non-Football Injury List and one is in the Reserve/Injured List.
Kiko Alonso was all over the place defensively for the Dolphins in a win, DeForest Buckner again caused chaos in the backfield in a win for the 49ers and Royce Freeman found the end zone for the first time in his pro career to help the Broncos to a comeback victory.
Arizona Cardinals – Week 2: at LA Rams – L, 34-0; Week 3: vs. Chicago, Sunday, 1:25 p.m.

- LB Joe Walker was signed by the Cardinals on Tuesday off the Eagles' practice squad.
- OL Kyle Long started at right guard.
- OL Jake Fisher saw playing time off the bench, primarily on special teams.
- CB Terrance Mitchell had an active game, forcing two fumbles, recovering one and making five solo stops. In two starts to begin the season, Mitchell has two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, a pass breakup and 11 solo tackles.

- RB Royce Freeman scored his first career touchdown on a one-yard run to put the Broncos on the board in the third quarter. Freeman finished the game with 28 yards on eight carries.

- RB LeGarrette Blount started at running back for the second straight week and ran for 38 yards on eight attempts.
- OL Tyrell Crosby did not play.
- WR De'Anthony Thomas had a strong day on special teams, returning a first quarter punt 48 yards while making two tackles on kickoffs.
- CB Troy Hill played 10 snaps off the bench defensively while getting major playing time on special teams.
- TE Johnny Mundt also saw time on special teams but recorded no statistics.
- LB Kiko Alonso made a career-high 13 solo tackles while forcing two fumbles. His 13 total tackles are the most he has had in a game since making 14 stops in the final game of his rookie season in 2013. Alonso's 19 solo stops are tied for second in the NFL and his 19 total tackles are good for a tie for seventh.
- RB Kenjon Barner signed with the Patriots last week Tuesday but was inactive in Week 2.
- S Patrick Chung started and made three solo tackles while also seeing time on special teams.
- C Max Unger started at center and played all 66 snaps.. Unger has now started 51 of his 52 games since arriving in New Orleans and has started 22 in a row.
- RB Jonathan Stewart carried the ball twice for a yard.
- DL Haloti Ngata got the start at defensive tackle after coming off the bench in Week 1 and assisted on one tackle.
- DL Arik Armstead made the start at defensive end and recorded three solo tackles, one for loss, and had two quarterback hits.
- DL DeForest Buckner again turned in a solid game, picking up a sack with two quarterback hits while making five solo stops. Through two games Buckner is second in the NFL with 3.5 sacks, already surpassing his total of three last year, and leads all defensive linemen with 12 tackles.
- TE Ed Dickson is on the Active/Non-Football Injury List with a groin injury.
- DL Dion Jordan saw playing time off the bench but did not record any statistics.
- QB Marcus Mariota did not play due to an elbow injury sustained in Week 1 and his status is up in the air for Sunday's game at Jacksonville.
- RB Byron Marshall was placed on the Reserve/Injured List prior to Week 1 with an ankle injury.
