Daniela Nasser moves onto qualifiers after winning another three-set thriller at the ITA All-American Championships pre-qualifiers on Sunday
Malibu, Calif. – Daniela Nasser continues to be a force for the Ducks on the court as she moves onto qualifiers after winning another three-set thriller at the ITA All-American Championships pre-qualifiers on Sunday.
How it Happened: After winning two back-to-back matches at the ITA All-American Championships on Saturday, Nasser found a way to pull out another victory in the third round of pre-qualifiers.
The senior outlasted Anna Vrbenska of Ole Miss in three sets, winning 6-1, 3-6, 6-3. Nasser's win earns her a spot in qualifiers where she will join fellow senior Shweta Sangwan beginning Oct. 2.
Earlier in the day, the doubles team of Julia Eshet and Sangwan took the court for their second match of the tournament. Despite a solid comeback campaign, the duo dropped the match to Pepperdine's Jessica Failia and Anastasia Iamachkine, 5-8.
Up next: Daniella Nasser and No. 42 Shweta Sangwan will compete in the ITA All-American Championships singles qualifiers beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 2.Â
