EUGENE, Ore. – Two weeks removed from its season opener, the Oregon track and field team returns to competition this weekend with the Razorback Invitational. More than 70 Ducks will be in action at the two-day meet which begins Friday at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark.
In the abbreviated indoor season, the Ducks are heading into their second meet of the season but are already less than two months away from the NCAA Indoor Championships.
"There's not a lot of time between the start and end of the (indoor) season," head coach Robert Johnson said. "Before March gets here, you have to have one of those top-16 qualifying marks so it definitely hurries by. You have a few opportunities to see where you are and then another couple opportunities to etch your name somewhere in that top 16."
How to Follow
Friday's running events will be streamed online on SEC Network+ through the WatchESPN app while the featured segment Saturday will be televised on the SEC Network beginning at 11 a.m. PST. Live results will also be offered through Flash Results.

This weekend's Razorback Invitational is set to feature 10 ranked teams from the most recent USTFCCCA poll. The Women of Oregon enter ranked No. 10 and will be joined by No. 1 Arkansas, No. 6 Florida, No. 8 Kentucky and No. 9 LSU. On the men's side, the Ducks are ranked 17th in the country alongside No. 2 Florida, No. 8 LSU, No. 12 Arkansas and No. 28 Kansas State.
Opening Up
A total of 14 Ducks are scheduled to make their season debuts at the Razorback Invitational, comprising mostly of the men's distance crew headlined by All-Americans Reed Brown, Blake Haney, Austin Tamagno and James West. Among the UO women opening up are Makenzie Dunmore and Jessica Hull.
Last Time Out
The Ducks opened their season with six wins at the UW Preview (Jan. 12) in Seattle. In his UO debut, freshman Eric Edwards Jr. won the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.80 in the final. Redshirt sophomore Maddie Rabing secured Oregon's first win of the year with her effort in the weight throw. The team also had wins from Rieker Daniel (200m), Jacoby McNamara (400m), Jasmin Reed (60m) and Kaylah Robinson (60mH).
Out of the Blocks
On the heels of a standout junior college career, Oraine Palmer made an immediate statement with a 6.65 effort at 60 meters at the UW Preview (Jan. 12). The showing makes him the No. 4 performer in school history. Palmer was the 2018 NAIA National Track Athlete of the Year.
Hull Watch
Two-time NCAA champion Jessica Hull begins her 2019 campaign on The Bowerman preseason watch list. She is the defending NCAA champion at 1,500 meters and was the lead-off leg of Oregon's victorious DMR at last year's NCAA Indoor Championships. Hull is scheduled to run a leg of the Ducks' DMR and toe the line in the mile at the Razorback Invitational.

Redshirt junior Khadejah Jackson is one of three Pac-12 student-athlete representatives headed to Orlando for the fifth year of Division I autonomy structure. A total of 15 student-athletes will have full vote on measures set forth. Jackson already serves as the Pac-12 rep on the NCAA Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. The meeting is scheduled for Jan. 24 as part of NCAA Convention.
